A Tijuana, Mexico, pharmacy operator and San Diego resident has a prescription for Tadalafil and a doctor's appointment with the San Diego County health care system to assess his case. In a letter to the pharmacy, the owner of a Tijuana drugstore told a doctor there is a "high risk" of the drug's side effects, and that the pharmacy is not licensed in Tijuana.
According to San Diego County, the Tijuana drugstore is located in "La Paz, Tijuana" and has a "low" supply and pharmacy in "El Cajon."
The prescription is for a 20-milligram tablet taken by mouth, as the drug is intended for use in adult men with erectile dysfunction. It is also recommended that men over the age of 18 take the drug for "a certain length of time before having sex," but there are no reports of adverse reactions. The prescription for Tadalafil is issued by a San Diego pharmacy employee.
In a letter to the San Diego County Pharmacy manager, the pharmacy manager wrote, "The drugstore is licensed in Tijuana."
The pharmacy employee is also a licensed pharmacist in Tijuana. He told the pharmacy that he "has seen many of these pharmacies in Tijuana."
The Tijuana pharmacist's office also is in Tijuana, but the office is located in the "Caja de Tijuana" area, where the pharmacy is located.
The San Diego County Pharmacy Association is an independent health care organization and represents the pharmacy industry in Tijuana. It represents Tijuana pharmacies.
